I absolutely agree with you about older homes. I grew up in uptown New Orleans, La. where all the homes were older homes. When I turned seventeen my family moved to a suburb which was gaining popularity because it was "New". I am 45 now and I stll miss the old house feeling.

Just think of all the new friends you have made because you painted it upside down :-) I would love to have your upside down Bible on my desk in my scrapbook/sewing room, which is in the process of being painted & decorated in soft pinks and roses! I just wanted to add - I'm certainly not knocking new homes - in fact, I can see where they have many advantages - especially when you can design your own layout. It's just a personal thing with me, I need that feeling an old house gives me.
